Step 3: Manage General Ledger Accounts in a Consolidation

In this step, General Ledger Accounts are imported, reviewed, and mapped within the Consolidation Dossier.

Import General Ledger Accounts with Balances (Required)

Step 1: Import and Split Accounts

Go to:

Main Menu → Consolidation → General Ledger Settings

  1. Select Show Existing Accounts in the Consolidation.

  2. Select Accounts with Transactions.

  3. Enable Automatically Split Accounts.

  4. Click the button to Import the Accounts.

  5. Click Update Consolidation.

Step 2: Map General Ledger Accounts

Select Show All Accounts from the toolbar.

  1. Select Accounts Without Transactions.

  2. Click the blue button to add the accounts.

Group Empty Accounts (by !NM Groups)

Go to:

Data → Manage and Organize → Structure Mapping

  • Empty accounts are identified by the blue icon.

    These accounts have not yet been assigned to the correct group.

    Group Empty Accounts

    1. Under Structure, click Move Accounts Without Transactions to !NM.

    All empty accounts are automatically moved to the correct temporary !NM group.

    Step 2: Split Accounts with Transactions

    Go back to:

    Consolidation → General Ledger Settings

  • Select Show All Accounts.

  • Select Accounts with Transactions.

  • Enable Split Accounts with Different Names.

  • Click Add General Ledger Accounts with Transactions to the Consolidation Dossier.

Step 3: Apply the Changes

After adding the accounts, a notification may appear indicating that the settings have changed.

  1. Click Apply Changes to Import Sets.

This applies the updated settings to the consolidation correctly.

Result

After completing these steps:

  • Empty accounts are grouped under !NM.

  • Accounts with transactions are correctly split.

  • The foundation is in place for accurate mapping in the next step.
