Connectors

Factview includes connectors that automatically retrieve financial data from accounting systems such as Exact Online and Twinfield (Wolters Kluwer).

These connectors create a direct connection between Factview and the selected accounting system.

Available Connectors​

In the main menu, navigate to:

Data → Connect Administration / Import → Import Module

All available connectors are displayed here.

Click a connector to start the process of creating a connection.How a Connector Works

A connector is responsible for:

  • Retrieving financial data from the accounting system.

  • Automatically creating an Import Set.

  • Linking the Import Set to the Actuals Dataset.

A separate connection is created for each dossier and financial year.

To create a connection:

  • Select the correct dossier in Factview.

  • Choose the appropriate administration from the accounting system.

  • Sign in with your account credentials, including two-factor authentication (2FA) if required.

  • Complete the connection process.

Factview will then establish the connection and retrieve the financial data automatically.

Managing Connections​

After a connection has been created:

  • All connections are displayed in the management screen.

  • Existing connections can be updated or modified.

  • New financial periods can be imported.

Factview does not perform automatic background updates.

  • Connections must be updated manually by the user.

  • This gives you full control over your reporting data.

  • It also prevents figures from changing unexpectedly during a reporting period.
