Factview Demo Case

The Demo Case is a sample environment within Factview containing preconfigured data. It allows you to explore Factview's functionality without using your own financial data.

The Demo Case includes a fully configured dossier with:

  • Imported general ledger accounts

  • Configured report structures

  • Standard reports

  • Sample budgets and planning data

All data is fictitious and intended solely for demonstration and training purposes.

What Can You Do in the Demo Case?​

Within the Demo Case, you can:

  • Open and analyze reports.

  • Drill down into transactions.

  • Add report columns.

  • Modify report settings.

  • Explore Structureviews.

  • Export Excelviews.

  • Open and edit a planning.

You are free to experiment without affecting any real financial administrations.

Step 0 - Open the Demo Case Dossier (Important)​

Open the Main Menu.

In the top bar, select the Factview Demo 2024 dossier.

Select 2024 in the financial year field in the top bar.

This Demo Case also includes a forecast for 2025.

Step 1 - Open a Standard Report​

Navigate to:

Main Menu → Open Reports → Factviews

Open one of the following reports:

  • Profit and Loss Statement

  • Balance Sheet

  • Cash Flow Statement

Review how the figures are organized and try drilling down into one of the report items.

Step 2 - Explore the Analysis Settings

Open the Analysis Menu by clicking the Analysis button located below the report tabs.

Try the following within the report:

  • Add additional columns.

  • Change the display to percentages.

  • Display variances.

  • Switch between Level Colors and Category Colors.

This will help you become familiar with the report functionality.

Step 3 - Open a Structureview​

Navigate to:

Main Menu → Reports (View) → Structureviews

Open an existing Structureview and explore how it is organized.

This demonstrates how custom reports are created and used in Factview.
