Report Menu - Selections
The Selections menu displays the active report settings. At a glance, you can see which Dataset, period view, and calculation method are currently being used.
If a report displays unexpected figures, first check the active selections.
Overview of the Selections Menu
The image below shows the main selections displayed above a report. The key components are numbered and explained below.
1. Base Dataset
This selection indicates which Dataset is currently being used.
In the example, the Actuals Dataset is selected, meaning the report displays the actual financial figures.
Other available Datasets may include:

Budget
-
Planning
-
Forecast
2. Per Period
This selection determines how the figures are displayed.
When Per Period is selected, amounts are shown for each individual month or accounting period, making it easy to analyze trends over time.
3. Cumulative
This selection determines how the figures are calculated.
When Cumulative is selected, amounts are accumulated up to and including the selected period.
Depending on the report, Movement may be displayed instead. In that case, only the figures for the selected period are shown.
Always check the selections displayed above the report first. This allows you to immediately see which settings are active and helps prevent misinterpretation of the reported figures.
