Creating Custom Reports (Structureviews) in Factview

In Factview, a report is called a Structureview.

A Structureview combines:

  • A Structure (the layout and grouping of data).

  • A View (how the data is displayed).

This allows financial data to be presented in a flexible and organized way.

Adding a Report Structure

Creating a new report consists of three steps:

  • Create the structure.

  • Build the groups.

  • Link General Ledger Accounts or groups.

Creating a New Report Structure

Go to Data → Manage and Organize → Report Structures and select Add New.

This opens the window for creating a new report structure.

Configuring the Structure

In this window, you configure the basic settings of the report structure.

Code

Determines the order in which the report appears.

Name

The name of the report (for example, EBIT Report).

Template

Choose the report template:

  • None

  • Standard Balance Sheet

  • Standard Profit and Loss Statement

  • EBIT Profit and Loss Statement

  • Cash Flow Statement

Configuring the Mapping

In the same window, you can choose how the mapping should be applied:

None (Manual Mapping)

  • Creates a structure without predefined mapping.

  • General Ledger Accounts must be linked manually.

  • Copies both the report structure and its mapping.

  • The new structure remains linked to the selected standard report.

Selecting the Mapping Type

Here you determine how the report structure will be populated.

General Ledger Accounts (Blue)

  • Use individual General Ledger Accounts.

Groups (Green)

  • Reuse existing groups from other report structures.

Decide Later

  • Create a structure that can use a combination of both methods.

After making your selection, click OK.

Adding and Organizing Groups

The new report structure appears in the Structure panel.

  • Right-click the structure.

  • Select Add.

Each group consists of:

  • A Code (displayed between square brackets).

  • A Name.

Groups can be:

  • Dragged to a different position.

  • Placed below other groups.

  • Organized into a hierarchical structure.

Next Steps

After creating the report structure:

  • Adjust the group names and their order.

  • Link General Ledger Accounts or existing groups.

  • Open the report through Reports → Structureviews.
